AEGIS actively participated in the “Information and Networking Days on Horizon 2020 Big Data Public-Private Partnership topics 2017” that took place on January 17th-18th, 2017 in Luxembourg.
The aim of the event was to inform and guide potential applicants preparing project proposals and to facilitate sharing of ideas and experiences. It gave participants the chance to network and to find partners for their projects. During the event, the first Big Data PPP projects issued from the 2016 call for proposals have presented their objectives and roadmap.
On behalf of the AEGIS project, Dr. Yury Glikman (AEGIS Project Coordinator) was invited to share the AEGIS perspective on the “Public Safety and Personal Security” data value chain and discuss the challenges which are currently hampering the re-use of data assets in the specific domains.
During the event, the AEGIS partners had the chance to exchange ideas and experiences with other participants, as well as to liaise with the rest of the Big Data PPP projects in order to initiate future, potential collaboration activities.
